Great moment: MPS looking to the sky after scoring a goal, almost as if a 1,000 pound weight was lifted off of his shoulders.

Love the kid. Hope he continues to find success.

I feel terrible for Paajarvi because the Oilers haven't handled him well at all this season. Skilled guys don't belong on the third or fourth line. Either he needed to be Top 6 in Edmonton or Top 6 in OKC all season. It's 55 games in and now they're giving him a legitimate chance, and only because Nuge is out. I'm sure when Nuge is back, they'd so something lame like move Horcoff to wing and Paajarvi to play on a line with the black hole that is Eric Belanger.

I keep hoping Hemsky and a few others will be moved so Paajarvi and Omark can play in the Top 6 for the rest of the season...just so they have a real chance to show what they bring, and in Paajarvi's case, so he can develop.

Mps will be an effective player in the nhl at some point. Hes got too much game to not.
Not everyone tears up the league by their 2nd season.

Makes me laugh when people write off a 20 year old cause hes struggling

Agreed. Plenty of great NHL players were terrible in their second season. And like I said, the Oilers misused Paajarvi, so it's not exactly his fault completely. Every time he goes to the AHL, he returns looking 10 times more confident. Patience works with prospects.

In fairness to Pilgor, I actually believe his biggest complaint isn't the player himself; it's that the Oilers insisted on playing him on the 3rd and 4th line in the NHL instead of sending him to the AHL so he could play top line minutes. Pilgor only really started ripping on Paajarvi himself when people started reacting to his suggestion that Maggy was better off in the AHL this season.

Wait, did I just defend Pilgor?

Hemsky keeps it up he might poor someone a glass of kool aid, and we might get something back for him.

I like how everybody is talking him up, but his fancy play at the blue line cause the tying goal.

They have done it for two years...even last year he got too many minutes on the 3rd while our wunderkids Hall and Ebs were given keys to the city.

I didn't have as much as issue last year, but I figured he deserved better this year right fromt he get go...yet still they kept him in a checking role with sub-par players offensively.

Since Gags.Hall.Ebs have chemistry, get PRv with Nuge and Hemmer...give the kid a better set of line mates and more time in gravy situations like PP.

Absolutely right. The miscasting of Paajarvi is one of the Giant Fails of management this year so far.

I like the idea of putting Nuge and PRV together since Gags has clicked on the first line. F, PRV almost had 2 tonight

that is not what I have been getting from Pil...his issue was that he was not producing...even when PRV was sent down and got some points, he still rags on PRV.

Pil's problem is that he thinks he knows better than everyone else, and strokes his own ego too much.

what was said on twitter?

Just several people commenting that Hall ignored Whitney...skated right past him after scoring winning goal. I noticed it too and thought it was strange.

But that being said, and as I said in the blog, I have no knowledge of an actual issue existing between Hall and Whitney. I just was commenting on the strange moment after the goal.

Let's start with Bogosian...not sure he's a good defenseman yet.

We are not using PRV this year to get a Dman...and he is a piece of our 2nd line in the future...

IMO

No, I said Whitney makes jokes on Twitter, and sometimes, he gives Hall a hard time. In fun. Jokes. You know, ribbing someone.

"Taylor not happy with Whitney's cheeky jokes about him on Twitter? "

Like I said, you made a comment about Whitney saying something about him on twitter...and this is what the other poster is commenting on...do you something that was said on twitter? or are you just making it up.

I was at today's game and Hemsky may have had a few moments but his boneheaded trick play created a goal for the Senators and he still insists on one to many moves. He had a scoring chance that would have put the Oil up by two but chose to hold on to the puck rather than simply shoot.

Neither team wanted to play physical.

Props to the Senators organization for the Phillips ceremony. Nice job!

And could the CBC have picked a worse play-by-play team to cover the game? Boring, disinterested, and at times, straight-out stupid

Couldn't agree with you more but I'd take them any day of the week over Mark Lee
